Ready For The Weekend by Calvin Harris

Play on Napster
Label: Columbia
Where Harris' I Created Disco was an amiable, if somewhat two-dimensional, imitation of LCD Soundsystem at their cheekiest, Ready for the Weekend shows vastly expanded ambitions. Originality might not be Harris' strong suit, but he mines crossover pop acts like Basement Jaxx, the Streets and even OutKast for all they're worth, turning out a mishmash of peppy, melodic, club-informed pop that's easy on the ears and persuasive in the art of moving rears.
